Common Questions
What is The Quad?
The Quad is a college finder app that matches students to schools using a 21-question quiz powered by AI. It evaluates academics, location, campus setting, cost, and campus vibe to recommend colleges and universities.
How much does it cost?
Free to download with 5 free quizzes. A one-time $4.99 upgrade unlocks unlimited quizzes, Search by School with AI-powered detail pages, and the ability to save schools.
Does The Quad show sponsored results or share my data?
No. Unlike other college search tools, The Quad does not show sponsored results or share your data. Your quiz answers are used only to generate your personalized recommendations.
How does The Quad match students to colleges?
The Quad uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to analyze your quiz answers across academics, location preferences, campus setting, cost considerations, campus vibe, and other key attributes. It then matches you to colleges and universities from the U.S. Department of Education's College Scorecard database and provides personalized recommendations.
Can I use The Quad if I'm undecided on a major?
Yes. Select Undecided as a potential major, and The Quad will match you to schools based on your other preferences — location, campus setting, cost, and vibe.
